Selenite ( CaSO₄•2H₂O) is the transparent crystalized form of Gypsum, which forms when the sulfate and  calcium rich salt water evaporate. It is found almost all over the world, most commonly in Madagascar, Mexico, Australia, the United States (especially in Utah), and Brazil.
