Appearance & Origin:
Mugwort grows tall and commanding—often reaching five feet or more—with dark green leaves that are silvery-white and woolly underneath, as if reflecting moonlight even during the day. The leaves are deeply lobed and aromatic when crushed, releasing a scent that is both medicinal and magical. Native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa, mugwort has traveled the world with humans, always appearing near ancient sites, crossroads, and places where the veil is thin.

The Witch's Wisdom:
Mugwort is the herb of the witch's flight. It opens doorways that are usually closed, lifts the veil between worlds, and carries the dreamer into realms where ordinary consciousness cannot go. But she demands respect—too much, and she will show you things you are not ready to see. Approach her with humility, and she will be your greatest teacher.
